yes PLEASE!  I have been trying to figure this out for 5 hours, it is not easy.  wondering if it is possible to roll back to the previous version of roastmaster for now just to be able to roast.

The homepage banner covers the basics... Important information about Roastmaster 11 and Phidgets Compatibility (https://rainfroginc.com/roastmaster/roastmaster-11-and-phidgets-lib22-compatibility). In theory (and in testing) it is as easy as 1) Installing the Lib22 and 2) starting the network server. Again...in theory and testing. On my test machines, I never needed to uninstall the old Lib21, but it's certainly a good idea. Beyond that, I've noticed that in all things Phidgets, a restart of the host is often required when performing upgrades.

On the Roastmaster side, probe definitions are different. Roastmaster should upgrade your probe definitions internally. Make sure that you do NOT enable a password on your host. Due to the functioning of the new Lib22, I could not longer support passwords in Roastmaster.

There are "from scratch" instructions here Setting Up Phidgets (https://rainfroginc.com/documentation/setting-up-phidgets). Otherwise, call me and we'll try to troubleshoot. 856.275.5991

I just moved the instructions to a new documentation article Upgrading to Phidgets Lib22 from Lib21 (https://rainfroginc.com/documentation/upgrading-to-phidgets-lib22-from-lib21).

If you are using a Windows machine as your host, and having connection issues after installing Lib22, it's likely that Windows firewall is blocking the Phidgets traffic. Phidgets changed the default port fro 5001 to 5661. There's some help on that page, and a link to a tech article on adding a Windows firewall exception rule.

If not, it's likely that Lib 21 is still running in the background and mucking up the works. Try manually uninstalling or at least disabling the old Control Panel (Windows), Preference Pane (Mac) or Package (SBC). Then, reboot your host.
