I use a Hottop (B).
It can store 3 profiles.
Typically when I roast, I'm basing it on a prior roast but then making changes (usually late in the roast).

So lets say I store a roast in the Hottop as profile 1.
The next time I roast that bean, I plan to use the same parameters for most of the roast, but make some changes at the end. I believe the way the Hottop works is that once you make a change, the roaster reverts to manual mode. What I'd like to do is copy the Heat & Fan settings from the previous roast (or a stored profile in roastmaster), manually enter the temps, and then, once I start making changes, get rid of the subsequent nodes for Heat & Fan.

Is there any way to do this (or to come close).
If not, anyone with a Hottop (or other similar situation) have suggestions?

After some trial and error work, I came up with templates that work fairly well.

I then set the default on my label printer to Black&White (no grays), lowest brightness and highest contrast.
The result is very easy to produce labels for my roasts.

If anyone has the same printer, I can post the templates (I made them 1.3, 1.5 and 1.7 inches long (using the 2 3/7 inch wise continuous length labels). I found that I've only been using the 1.3 inch version.

I often roast a bean I've done before but tweaking it a bit from the last time.

That usually means that I use the same bean and charge, same roaster and profile (I actually always do that anyway, but that's beside the point). Then I use the roast I'm "duplicating" as the benchmark.

It would be great if there was a "duplicate" function to accomplish this (perhaps with some specifics that could be chosen from a menu in case someone wanted to do it a little differently than I describe above).

Also, it would be nice to be able to have a default roaster and profile so I didn't have to pick it every time. I assume many or most homeroasters actually only have one roaster anyway.
