Thanks for the kind words.

I've been meaning to build that type of feature for a long time now, but with more than just node editing capabilities. I envision being able to drag select a range of a curve, and then "pull" that portion smoothly...up, down, left right...whatever applies to get the desired shape. That is what I find myself wanting to do when honing in on a new profile.

In the meantime though - I changed a few things code-wise back in iOS 10 that will get you at least partway there with a "dummy" roast.

Here's how:

1. In the roast console of a past roast, select the curve you want to start with and tap the action button right next to the graph, and choose "Copy Curve" (or navigate to the curve details screen from a Profile and tap the "Copy" button in the toolbar that looks like a clipboard with an arrow.
2. Make a new roast, and tap the action button next to the graph and choose "Paste Curves"
3. Save the roast and enter the Analyzer.
4. Since the dummy roast is still pending, you'll have full editing capabilities by tapping each node, and entering a new value in the top left readout text field. It's a lot faster and the changes are immediately visible.
5. Once you've gotten the curve to your liking, select it again back in the console, and copy and paste it into your new profile. It will paste as a reference curve.

Lots is changing in the coming version of Roastmaster in the area of Data Logging.

First of all, Control Curves will now support data logging. Beyond that, it will introduce the concept of "Scales" beyond the standard temperature scale (Humidity, Pressure, Agtron, etc.).

All of these (and several others) are means to the end of goals like you mention. I don't want to talk a lot on the forum about those features yet, until I'm in beta (very soon), but shoot me an email at support@rainfroginc.com...I'd be interested to know more about the power meters you mention and can speak a little more openly.

Don't worry too much about it. Whenever displaying the collective "name" of a bean, Roastmaster simply concatenates all of those fields together in the order those identifiers are displayed - regardless of which field contains the information.

Sometimes Tom will call out which is an estate or market name in the description, often he won't. It would take an awful lot of research to stay on top of that information. Some roasters have a direct relationship with farmers, so that distinction is important to them. Others aren't concerned with it at all. Many of us (myself included) typically just input the full name into the first field - the end result is the same. 

Sorry - no. Unlike temperature, weight, volume and density measurements, where Roastmaster translates among static scales, exchange rates for currency is always evolving. Roastmaster records the currency exactly as you enter it - displaying the units according to the current iOS region setting in Settings>General>Language & Region>Region.

You can enable those globally in Preferences > Analyzer, or two finger tap in the analyzer to toggle them on or off for individual curves.
