Hello
I am a Japanese user. Roast masters are very active in daily roasting. I am very much looking forward to a new version of Roast Master. I would be very happy if you could speak Japanese. Thank you very much for the new and innovative software.

Hi Koji

Thank you for reaching out and for the kind words!  :)

I do plan to provide a Japanese translation soon. I've made a lot of changes for the coming release of Roastmaster due this Fall. Once that is completed, I will look into adding a Japanese translation.

Kind regards,
Danny

Hello Danny

Thank you for releasing a new version of Roastmaster.

I was really looking forward to becoming compatible with ios14.
Just downloaded it and haven't started using it yet, but I'll use it tomorrow.
I was really looking forward to using it as I was expecting many changes.
Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Hi Koji

Thanks for the kind words and for letting me know.

When we last talked, this version was already in beta, so I could not officially entertain any "new" features. But, I did a lot of internal work in November to the language localizations so that it would be easier to add Japanese.

I still want to do that in the coming months.

Kind regards
Danny

Hello Danny
I always use Roast Master comfortably. Thank you very much for the very good software.
I'm a Japanese user, but I'm having trouble saying that ThermaQ Blue can't be sent to Japan.
Is it possible to use the Roastmaster Bluetooth Protocol? Do I have to buy something for it?
You may be busy, but please tell me.

Hi Koji

Great to hear from you...and thanks for the kind words!

I'm surprised and sorry to hear you're having trouble getting it shipped to Japan.

Phidgets is another possibility. Have you looked into that? As long as you have a WiFi network, the following would work

1) Wireless VINT Hub:
https://www.phidgets.com/?tier=3&catid=2&pcid=1&prodid=1143

2) Thermocouple Sensor:
https://www.phidgets.com/?tier=3&catid=14&pcid=12&prodid=725

3) And, then a K type thermocouple that would fit your roaster

------------------------

Otherwise, the RBP protocol is free to use, and works great, but you would have to actually build and program the hardware that it runs on. In other words, there is no pre-built hardware that supports it. You have to build it yourself.

Let me know if you want more information - I'll be happy to provide it!
