    ThermaQ Blue

    The ThermaQ Blue is an improved model of the trustworthy and battle-tested BlueTherm Duo from the same manufacturer, ThermoWorks.

    Like its predecessor, The ThermaQ Blue is a convenient and easy to use solution for home and specialty roasters alike.

    It has been improved with a slightly smaller size, and utilizes the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol for continuous, direct communication with Roastmaster. It is powered by 1 AA battery, boasts a 4000 hour battery life, and supports up to 2 K type thermocouples.

    In order to use the ThermaQ Blue with Roastmaster, you’ll need:

    1. ThermaQ Blue (Available internationally from ThermoWorks)
    2. 1 or 2 K Style thermocouples
    3. Roastmaster Data Logging Option

    Available in Roastmaster 10.1 and above.

    Setting Up the ThermaQ Blue

    Setting Up a ThermaQ Blue for Data Logging

    1. Attach one or two K-style thermocouple(s) to the ThermaQ Blue.
    2. Power the ThermaQ Blue device on.
    3. In the Probes list in Roastmaster, tap the + button to add a new Probe, and choose ThermaQ Blue.
    4. If you have not already purchased the Data Logging option, tap “Data Logging Store” and enable Data Logging. Roastmaster will guide you through the purchase.
    5. Choose the appropriate ThermaQ Blue device from the list.
    6. Enter the appropriate port, either 1 or 2.
    7. The Status field should display “Linked”, and report the current probe temperature.
    8. Save the new probe definition. It will now be available to use for data logging in the reading data curves of future roasts.
    9. Repeat for the second probe if desired.
